Health Data: Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. No medical conditions are known to be aggravated by exposure to this product. FIRST AID: EYE CONTACT: Rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing. If irritation persists, call a doctor. SKIN CONTACT: Rinse with plenty of water. If irritation persists, call a doctor. INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If breathing problems develop, call a doctor. INGESTION: Drink a glassful of water. Call a doctor or poison control center.
Precautionary Statements
Personal Protective Equipment: Wear rubber or nitrile gloves if there is the potential for repeated or prolonged skin contact. In situations where adequate local exhaust is not available, a NIOSH-approved respirator is advised. When handling items soiled with blood or body fluids (as when decontaminating against HIV-1, HBV and HCV), use disposable impervious gloves, gowns, masks and eye coverings.
